I was just going through some older posts here on lisa-and-mike, and I clicked on the link to the post about my Great Aunt Jean. I noticed at the bottom of the photo’s caption it mentions my cousins were busy at the Deliverance Center on Park Ave. Well, I decided to search that, I knew that my Great Uncle Jimmy (James Reynolds, Sr.) was a preacher with a radio show and a traveling bus back in the 60’s and 70’s. Well, his legacy lives on at the Deliverance Center today.
His son (Stephen Reynolds, Sr.) and grandson (Stephen Reynolds, Jr.) are still running the church now. The only memory I have of my Nanna Reynolds (Mary Elizabeth Reynolds, nee Murphy) was from the Deliverance Center in the early 1990’s. She was 90 years old at the time, and was spry taking care of people at the center 15-20 years younger than her. She was a tough, but stately woman from my recollection.
