Holiday Parade 2014

Lisa and I took Greta to her first Parade today in Reading. It’s the city’s multiple holiday parade that falls the Saturday before Thanksgiving every year. They put on a good show! And Greta certainly seemed to enjoy it!

Pagoda Hill Climb June 2013

Reading is nestled between Neversink Mountain and Mount Penn. Each of these east coast mountains offers stunning views and excellent hiking trails. And they offer recreation for gear heads as well in the form of the Duryea and Pagoda hill climbs, sponsored by the Blue Mountain Region SCCA chapter.

I’ve posted some videos of some of the competitors. The really cool part about this winding mountain road, is that there are plenty of access points for the general public to view the event. You actually have enough time between rounds¬†to move between these access points, too. So you don’t get stuck with a single vantage point.
